Radan Božović, a veterinary graduate student and hardworking young farmer, together with his mother Vesna, runs a rural household “Mlečna dolina“ (Milk Valley) with love and commitment. The household is located in heart of picturesque village Glavaca, on eastern slopes of Bjelasica mountain. This idyllic location is a real heaven in nature, full of colours and sounds that captivate visitors.
Božović’s are famous for domestic food, produced in traditional way. What stands out is homemade cheese, produced from milk of their approximately twenty head of cattle and as many sheep. Vesna is also a master for processing fruits and vegetables. She makes various jams and juices from forest fruits and fruits grown on their estate.
Peace and freedom of village life
Although young, Radan has recognized value of life in a village and decided to stay true to his roots, despite numerous challenges. While young people are moving to towns, he has chosen the peace and freedom of village life. “To live in harmony with nature is a huge wealth”, Radan says.
“Mlečna dolina“ is not only a household. Božović’s also have devoted themselves to rural tourism. Their estate attracts tourists from different countries, offering them authentic experience of life in a village.
